Virgin Holidays and technology provider Codegen marked a decade of working together last week with a special event at the tour operator’s Crawley headquarters.
The firm’s website has been powered by Codegen’s Travelbox technology for the last 10 years.
The event saw staff take part in treasure hunts with prizes for the Virgin Holidays reservations team.
Joe Thompson, managing director of Virgin Holidays, said: “Delivering a smooth enquiry and booking system that lives up to the Virgin Holidays brand is no small feat.
“Our ten-year partnership with CodeGen is testament to our shared values of customer service excellence and ambition to enhance the customer journey.
“Providing our reservations team with state-of-the-art technology to ensure that their service efforts can go above and beyond, whilst being efficiently reported, is essential to our business.
“Thank you to CodeGen for their ongoing developments to the TravelBox platform to meet our needs.”
Bharat Patel, CodeGen president sales and commercial, added: “CodeGen has a long-standing history of client relationships that go back many years.
“We are thrilled to reach another significant milestone, and for the support of Virgin Holidays.
“Our extensive investments into research and development ensure that the transformational TravelBox, and multiple additional add-on tools, continue to evolve and exceed the expectations of large global travel businesses and their customers. Here’s to the next ten years.”
Recent new developments to CodeGen’s suite of technology tools include TravelBox Surf and Review Spotter.
Surf is a web enabling tool kit with a customisable widget framework and enhanced cache technology for superfast online search.
Review Spotter can be integrated with TravelBox or used in isolation, the platform collects and analyses customer feedback using AI driven smart text processing to understand ideas expressed in natural language which are not easily accessible with regular review engines.
